Nortel Switch Technician
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and perform the installations, adds, moves and changes of Nortel Networks telephone systems;
- Troubleshoot and repair Nortel Networks telephone equipment, Network Carrier POTS, PRI/T1
- Understand, implement and troubleshoot applications such as VoIP, Call Center and Unified Messaging;
- Interact with General Contractors, Job Supervisors and third party vendors to determine site needs of the telephone systems and its specifications;
- Perform site surveys to determine cable status for new and reuse situations;
- Meet with customers/sales people and project managers to review system parameters and facilitate customer expectations;
- 24 hour on-call service
- Occasionally administer customer end user and administration training (one-on-one and/ classroom)
- Complete customer inventories on all new system installs and upkeep on a regular basis.
Job Requirements:
- 2 yrs plus experience working with PBX’s and related equipment;
- Knowledge and understanding of Carrier Network Services including PRI/T1, POTS, Frame Relay
- Understanding and working knowledge of PC Windows, Telnet, Microsoft Apps (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge and understanding of Local Area Networks, including TCP/IP.

Account Executive / Outside Sales Representative
Responsibilities:
- Find, track, and cultivate new sales opportunities
- Develop relationships with complimentary vendors
- Coordinate product demonstrations
- Present solutions and proposals
- Interact with service team and system engineers after the sale
Qualifications:
- Outside sales experience
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of self motivation and time management skills
- Familiarity with computers including all Microsoft Office programs
This position includes salary plus commission, and benefits including Medical, Dental, and 401K plans.
